The All-on-6 system employs six implants to replace a row of compromised teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Dr. Fakhimi and his team are excited to offer this innovative solution to enhance quality of life and the aesthetic appeal of your smile.

What are All-on-6 Dental Implants?

The All-on-6 system was designed to replace an entire row of teeth in the upper or lower mouth. This approach is more common in the upper mouth because the bone found in the upper jaw is typically softer. As a first step, the damaged or decaying teeth are removed. Next, six titanium posts are implanted into the upper jaw, placed in a precise and strategic manner. These will be used to support an entire row of replacement teeth.

The replacement teeth can be made with composite, acrylic, or porcelain. Porcelain tends to look the best and last the longest, but these benefits come with a higher price tag. The All-on-6 system has many benefits. Using implants can help preserve bone strength and structure, preventing contour irregularities and ensuring the patient’s appearance remains natural and attractive for years to come.

Am I a candidate for All-on-6 Dental implant surgery?

Patients struggling with a whole arch of missing, damaged, or decaying teeth can benefit from All-on-6 implants. Dr. Fakhimi and his team will assess your concerns during a private consultation to ensure that All-on-6 is the best approach for your needs and goals.

You may be an excellent candidate if:

  • You experience frequent oral infections
  • You have trouble chewing
  • You can’t enjoy all the foods you used to
  • Your diction has been affected by tooth loss
  • You feel self-conscious about your appearance

All-On-6 implants are usually chosen in cases of late-stage tooth loss and damage. If you are seeking a long-lasting solution for tooth loss, schedule your consultation with Dr. Fakhimi today.

How do All-on-6 Dental implants work?

The All-on-6 installation process is the same as it is for All-on-4 implants, except in this case, there are 2 extra implants.

  • You will undergo a 3D scan during your first visit so that your replacement teeth will be a perfect fit.
  • Your treatment plan will be carefully curated to ensure your new smile is flawless.
  • On the day of your surgery, the titanium roots will be surgically implanted according to your unique treatment plan. Patients receive local anesthesia and IV sedation as needed.
  • On the same day, or within 72 hours, Dr. Fakhimi will create a temporary acrylic bridge for you, which will be used for 6-8 months.
  • Once your jaw has healed, your permanent replacement teeth (made from acrylic, porcelain, or zirconium) will be placed, secured with surgical-grade implant screws.

How long will the implants last?

All-On-6 dental implants have been shown to last over a decade with proper care and upkeep. Attending all your follow-up appointments and following Dr. Fakhimi’s instructions throughout your treatment will ensure the longevity of your results.

Caring for your All-on-6 implants

Patients will follow the same care routine as they would for their regular teeth after All-on-6 implants, taking care to use an antiseptic mouthwash and brush on a schedule after every meal. Dr. Fakhimi will develop a regimen for you to follow based on the type of replacement teeth that you choose. A huge part of your aftercare is continuing to attend follow-up visits and regular cleanings every six months.

Getting started with your personalized consultation

Dr. Fakhimi offers a free consultation for the All-on-6 procedure, a variation of the All-on-4 technique. The All-on-6 is a one-day full arch rehabilitation procedure that allows a patient to walk out of the office with a new set of teeth that are non-removable in just one day! With the All-on-6 technique, two extra implants are fitted, offering the patient increased strength and stability. This treatment is designed for patients with enough bone structure to support the implants. Call today to find out if you’re a candidate.
